morning routine.

Is it possible to be both a morning person and a night owl? I feel like at 44 I hold space for both. lol Full transparency always—I’m much more of an early bird than a night owl. I enjoy getting up early before my Kids get up. It’s nice and quiet. IYKYK!!! I can get a lot accomplished while my kids are asleep. And frankly, that’s really WHY I love my morning routine.

I have developed a solid morning routine over the past 11 months. I found that this routine sets such a positive tone for my day. I absolutely love it. I NEED IT.

My mornings start when I wake up at 5am. My goal is to start my workout no later than 6:45am. I workout for about 35-40 mins. After my workout, I read my daily devotionals. Recently I added daily affirmation cards and journaling. On the back of each of my daily affirmation cards is a self reflecting question that I answer in my journal. I’ve really been enjoying this especially as I continue to do the inner work. After that I try to tidy up the house before my Toddler gets up and tears it apart again. lol #IYKYK!
